US Budget Deficit/Surplus 1961-2004

Deficits

The US budget deficit/surplus from 1961 - 2004, in billions. Seems like just yesterday we had a $250 billion SURPLUS.

From this graph, looks like that the Democrats build up a surplus and then the Republicans spend it - and then some - especially those "small government" Bush boys! Our grandchildren will inherit this mess, all thanks to King George I and King George II. There really oughta be a law!

it's not only the US budget deficit;
it's the trade balance deficit, as well.

in the year 2005: 805 MRD $ (MRD = billions of dollars).
so, that means, the whole national economy is buying goods and stuff for 805 billions more, than it is selling stuff.

that is not a good basis for the american future...
...especially, if you have a look at the trend...
(after my opinion, that is the main problem of the USA;
and if you want to cloud an issue,
WAR is always a good choice...)
