David Mathison will be speaking at the Modern Media Dialogue Series on March 17, 2010 at 5:00pm.
This event is free, open to the public, and sponsored by Sonoma State University, the Hutchins Dialogue Center, and Project Censored.
This event is hosted by Professors Benjamin Frymer and Margaret Anderson and coordinated by Kate Sims, Emily Wilson and Maria Tzouvelekis. It is located at Ives 101 Warren Auditorium.
Sonoma State University and Project Censored present a series of dialogues that strive to "observe the unobserved" while improving media literacy and critical thought about our contemporary media age through an examination and exchange of ideas.
David Mathison will address the impact of social media on traditional media, new financial models, and the future role of journalism in a democracy.
