This short video was designed to give animators and musicians at the Licensing International Expo in New York some ideas for our upcoming book trailer.

It is just the storyboard for what is very much a work in progress.

If there are any animators, cartoonists, filmmakers, musicians, or songwriters who would like to work with us in the creation of our book trailer, please contact us here.

This single was voted "Bootleg of the Year" in 2003.

Trying to remember where it all began

Revolutions in Music: Aaron Copeland and the American Sound

Revolutionsinmusic_3Tonight is the third and final installment of the PBS series "Revolutions in Music" with the San Francisco Symphony.

In this installment, PBS explores Aaron Copland and the American sound, featuring Fanfare for the Common Man, which, according to host Michael Tilson Thomas, is "a piece that sounds unmistakably American. A piece that's come to symbolize America itself."

"But why does it sound American? That's really a provocative question, since this American sound we take for granted now has existed for only a hundred years or so. And in many ways this sound was the creation of one man, Aaron Copland."

Watch and listen to a preview of "Fanfare For The Common Man" via YouTube.

Part Two: Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring"
Part One: Beethoven's "Eroica" (Symphony No 3 in E-Flat Major)

How do you start a revolution in music? Try E-Flat

Revolutionsinmusic_1Tune in to PBS for the San Francisco Symphony's groundbreaking series "Keeping Score: Revolutions in Music."

Find out how a few inflammatory notes from the minds of Beethoven, Stravinsky, and Copland changed music forever. The first in the series is Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 in E-Flat Major (Eroica, or "The Heroic").

"The composition witnesses the powerful emotions of hope and despair and conflicts of death and life that Beethoven tells us are reflections of the life of a hero. But who is the hero - the Emperor Napoleon, Beethoven, or everyman?"

Find out! Watch an excerpt on PBS site or on YouTube. And check local listings for the next installment.
